Apology From Graham White

13 April 2010, 10:40pm

Head of Human Resources Graham White has given an apology to Unison.
On the 26th of March there was a display in City Hall reception as part of business continuity week that listed ""Industrial Strike Action" next to "Terrorism" in a list of threats to WCC! (See: http://www.westminsterunison.org.uk/news/2796.html for further info & a picture of the display).

Needless to say, Unison Reps & members alike were dismayed by any comparison of this nature.

Westminster Unison have now received an official apology from the head of HR Graham White. He tells us that he is sorry if the display in City Hall caused any distress and emphasises that there was no intention to link or compare Industrial Action to Terrorism.

We gladly accept his apology & would like to thank him for his personal intervention.

However, at the last count WCC was spending £3 Million on the Comms team, so you might assume they would be a little more considered. Money well spent? We think not.
