Stephen started work at Westminster City Council in 2003 within the City Guardian Service in Community Protection. He was a Health and Safety Representative for 2 years, then became a Steward and Convenor of Community Protection. Taking a years break in 2007 He was elected Assistant Branch Secretary in 2008 and became Branch Secretary in February 2009. With the support of Westminster UNISON.
The Branch Secretary is the most senior official within the Branch. Their role is to negotiate and provide representation on behalf of all members, oversee and support all Branch Officers and activists and is responsible for all Branch business. The Branch Secretary represents the Branch at Regional UNISON Committee. Elections for this position take place annually.
